• The R&D FOSS NPO, Lanka Software Foundation, founded the project and has awarded 6 fellowships to FOSS developers in Sri Lanka (predominantly with SIDA funding)

Funds

• SIDA has provided funds develop phase II of Sahana for 1 year from September 2005 to August 2006
• The US National Science Foundation US NSF is funding 1 researcher from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka to develop the data import module

Infrastructure

• The University of Colombo School of Computing, (Sri Lanka) sponsors the development lab for the LSF, Sahana core team
• IBM Donated a High end server and laptops for the deployment of Sahana in Sri Lanka
